Coca-Cola HBC to invest $1.28 bln in Egypt through 2030
Coca-Cola HBC plans to invest an additional $1.28 billion in Egypt by 2030 after investing more than $1.1 billion between 2022 and 2025, the Egyptian Cabinet quoted the company’s CEO as saying on Sunday.
Speaking at the opening of Coca-Cola HBC’s Digital Hub in Cairo, Zoran Bogdanovic said the facility reflected the company’s confidence in Egypt’s skilled workforce and growing technology capabilities.
Bogdanovic described the Cairo Digital Hub as a strategic milestone in Coca-Cola’s digital transformation journey, underscoring its confidence in Egyptian talent.
The hub will support Coca-Cola HBC’s operations across 27 markets in Europe and Africa. It currently employs about 250 technology specialists and is expected to expand its workforce to 450 by 2027.
Egypt has been seeking to attract more technology-intensive foreign investment as part of its strategy to expand digital service exports and position the country as a regional hub for technology and business services.
