Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up 0.67 per cent to 52,608.28 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 rose 0.16 per cent to 5,888.94 points.
- The index EGX35-LV dropped 0.10 per cent to 6,190.77 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 added 0.47 per cent, to 16,563.19 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 0.36 per cent, to 22,347.31 points.
The total market cap reached 3,834,274,074,726 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians were net buyers with 44,779,217,100 pounds. Meanwhile, Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 2,789,158,972 pounds and 41,990,058,128 pounds, respectively.
Top gainers
- The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center rose by 19.99 per cent, to close at the price of 100.660 pounds a share.
- The shares of Cairo Pharmaceuticals climbed by 11.96 per cent, closing at the price of 449.860 pounds a share.
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments jumped by 9.61 per cent, to the purchasing price of 23.260 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Naeem Real Estate Holding Group fell by 4.55 per cent, to close at 19.520 pounds a share.
- The shares of Pioneers Properties For Urban Development – PRE Group declined by 3.98 per cent, to close at 8.200 pounds a share.
- The shares of Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad) dropped by 2.67 per cent, to close at the price of 43.070 pounds a share.
