Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went down by 0.45 per cent to 54,876 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 0.22 per cent to 6,411.87 points.
- The index EGX35-LV rose 0.52 per cent to 6,805.14 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 soared 2.60 per cent to 21,339.79 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 2 per cent, to 27,521.83 points.
The total market cap reached 4,164,953,259,533 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 386,498,571 pounds and 6,367,550,684 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with 6,754,049,255 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Memphis Pharmaceuticals rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 393.720 pounds a share.
- The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries climbed by 20.00 per cent, closing at the price of 430.800 pounds a share.
- The shares of Development & Engineering Consultants jumped by 20.00 per cent, to the purchasing price of 128.940 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of North Cairo Mills fell by 5.21 per cent, to close at 187.770 pounds a share.
- The shares of Arab Co. for Asset Management and Development declined by 5.00 per cent, to close at 2.280 pounds a share.
- The shares of Lecico Egypt dropped by 4.97 per cent, to close at the price of 33.660 pounds a share.
