The 2nd session of the Joint Commercial Indian-Egyptian Committee has kicked off this morning in New Delhi.
The committee will last for two days, aiming to boost bilateral economic, trade, investments and technical cooperation between Egypt and India, said Mohamed Dawood, Head of Egyptian Commercial Representation and who chairs the Egyptian delegation in New Delhi.
The first session was held in Cairo in March 2013.
Through the second session, Dawood stated that his country seeks to activate the role of the Egyptian-Indian Business Council in the coming period to work on boosting Egyptian exports and joint investments in India.
The Egyptian delegation to the second session includes representatives from the Egyptian ministries of trade and industry, agriculture, manpower, and health in addition to officials from the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).
