Egypt introduces initiative to train 12k youth annually in Tech, AI

Egypt has introduced the Digital Pioneers initiative aimed at training 12,000 young people annually in telecommunications, information technology, and artificial intelligence, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi approved the initiative, which offers fully funded intensive training programmes for individuals aged 15 to 32. The programmes range from four- to nine-month specialised diplomas to two-year professional or academic master’s degrees.

The initiative, costing 2.5 to 3 billion Egyptian pounds annually, will be fully funded by Tahya Misr Fund in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Participants will receive full scholarships, including accommodation, ensuring accessibility to all eligible youth.
