Egypt seen a trade balance deficit by 8.6 % during June

Egypt has seen a deficit in its trade balance by 8.6 percent to record $3.30 billion during June 2020, down from $3.61 billion  in the same period a year earlier, according Central agency for public mobilization and statistics.

Exports:

Exports value decreased by 7.9 percent as it reached 2.26 billion dollars during June 2020, versus 2.45  billion dollars for the same month of previous year, due to decreased value of some commodities such as:

(Fresh fruits 10.5 percent, ready-to-wear 2.5 percent, crude oil 46.3 percent, plastics in primary forms 10.4 percent).

While Exports value of some commodities increased  during June 2020, versus its similar at the same month of previous year such as (Various pastries and food preparations 28.0 percent, dairy products 29.3 percent, and made of plastics 79.8 percent).

Imports:

Imports value decreased by 8.3 percent, as it reached 5.56 billion dollars during June 2020, versus 6.06 billion dollars for the same month of previous year, due to decreased value of some commodities such as:

(Plastics in their primary forms by 1.6 percent,, corn by 2.9 percent,, crude oil by 24.5 percent,, and wheat by 5.3 percent).

Imports of some commodities Increased in June 2020, versus the same its similar at month of previous year such as

(Medicines and pharmaceutical  preparations 18.8 percent, iron or steel raw materials 3.8 percent,, organic and inorganic chemicals 1.8 percent,, soybeans 118.9 percent).
